Automated order process
Logistics Manager enables a fully automated hardware order process
for your company. Whenever the need for new assets arises Logistics
Manager lets your end user select and request the assets along with
any software and accessories. The order is then approved according
to your company's wishes and sent to the supplier. The order
includes all the information needed so that the supplier is able to
configure and ship the requested assets without any manual
interference. Hence your end user will receive the assets fully
configured and ready to use in shortest possible time.
Order process monitoring
Every order has a number of defined automatic steps. Each step does
not only perform system configuration and storage of asset
information, but also let the end user or administrator track the
progress of the order. Users with pending orders can easily monitor
order progress through Logistics Manager user interface or can be
kept informed through email notifications. In this way the user
will not need to ask help desk or any other part for information
about the order progress.
Control of assets and costs
Logistics Manager is configured to show a number of reports out of
the box. A user can easily view the assets that he or she owns and
what the actual costs of the assets are. A manager can easily view
the assets owned by the users belonging the cost center that he or
she manages.
Any update of ownership or status is logged in to the Logistics
Manager database. This makes it possible to go back to any point of
time to check the ownership and status. This also
enables follow up on lead-times for any step in the order
process.
Product catalogue The product catalogue is
synchronized from the supplier on daily basis. The product
catalogue is then manageable from Logistics Manager user interface
where an administrator can customize the products before publishing
them to the end users. Each product has a number of customizable
properties that the administrator easily sets up such as, your
company's specific name and description of a specific product,
internal rent.
